When Dr. Lowell J. Fuglie from Minnesota was the Director for the Church World Service in Senegal and Ghana in West Africa he promoted growing the Moringa especially in rural communities to help eliminate malnutrition. His studies of feeding malnourished people showed significant health improvement in very short periods of time by only adding Moringa to their diets. He wrote books about the Moringa and did videos on Youtube explaining the virtues of this plant before he died about 5 years ago. He was the one that really explained the tremendous nutritional benefits of this plant for the poor of the world.
There are videos in English and Spanish on Youtube from agricultural specialists to medical researchers that exhort the potential this plant holds for feeding the poor and medical science. There are also books and research papers on this. Studies at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine as well as both Purdue and Colgate Universities are investigating these nutritional and medicinal benefits of this plant as well as several European and Indian universities. Also in Senegal, Ghana and Nicaragua the Moringa was highly studied and praised for its many beneficial values.
